Task & Responsibilities

Roles and responsibilities

Interpret and analyze construction drawings, specifications, and site requirements to estimate and plan material needs.
Safely erect and dismantle ladders and scaffolding to access work areas.
Install waterproofing systems by securing waterproof sheets over eaves and applying underlay using nails and staples.
Align and fasten starter rows of roofing material, ensuring proper overlap and secure placement with nails, wire, and staples.
Accurately measure, size, and cut roofing materials to accommodate roof features such as chimneys, vents, corners, and ridges.
Apply cement mortar to fix edge and ridge tiles, and ensure tight, durable finishes.
Integrate roofing materials with pre-fabricated flashing, securing them to prevent leaks and water ingress.
Conduct re-roofing projects and carry out routine and emergency maintenance.
Apply caulking and flashing techniques to seal exposed nail heads and vulnerable points on the roof.
Lay tiles systematically in neat, well-aligned patterns using appropriate adhesives or mortar.
Inspect roofs for structural integrity and perform necessary repairs or replacements.
Clean, maintain, and organize tools and equipment to ensure operational efficiency.
Adhere strictly to workplace safety procedures, guidelines, and industry regulations.

Qualification & Experience

2 years of proven experience in roof tiling
Certificate 3 in roof tiling
Strong knowledge of different types of roofing materials and techniques
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications
Excellent hand-eye coordination and attention to detai
Physical stamina and ability to work at heights
Valid driver's license
